Energy-saving house? The gate also matters

gates

Energy-efficient construction in Poland is slowly becoming the applicable standard. One of the important elements that affects the heat balance in the house is window and door woodwork. Investing in good, tight windows and doors is part of the success. The entrance gate also contributes to the reduction of energy losses in the home.

A few years ago, energy-efficient houses were perceived in Poland as a modern solution. Characteristic architecture, geometric shapes with a roof with a minimum slope, large glazing – stood out against the background of classic buildings with a gable roof. Currently, such projects do not surprise anyone anymore. What's more, from 2021, after the entry into force of the changed technical conditions, the standards for all single-family houses are standards for energy-efficient buildings. The legislator leaves no choice – each investor must take into account the new standards and plan construction in accordance with them.

Warm windows in an energy-saving house

Several factors contribute to a good thermal insulation of a building, incl. thermal insulation, properly made roofing and joinery. Tight doors and windows minimise heat loss and at the same time protect against low temperatures from the outside. Glazing (which takes up the largest window area) is also important – triple-glazed packages are the minimum standard for energy-efficient houses. Four-glass packages allow you to achieve the highest thermal insulation parameters and are dedicated to houses with the highest energy efficiency requirements. An additional element worth paying attention to, and which increases the energy efficiency of the building, is the garage door.

An energy-efficient house – a garage door matters

In modern construction, the garage is placed rather in the body of the building. It then constitutes an additional thermal barrier, so it helps to minimise energy losses for heating the entire house. In addition to operating savings, we also save space on the plot. In addition, the garage, from which we go straight into the interior of the house, is simply practical in many respects. Of course, this part of the body must be properly insulated - and the garage door must be tight and of high quality. Infiniti's Eko-Okna gates fit well into the concept of an energy-efficient house. Sectional doors are considered the warmest among garage solutions. Critical points, i.e. the places where the segments are connected, are equipped with seals - the fragments where the gate meets the frame are also protected in a similar way. As a result, heat losses are minimised. If we combine high-class materials with appropriate sealing and panel thickness, we obtain parameters that meet the technical requirements for external doors and garage doors introduced in 2021 in energy-efficient houses. In the case of Infiniti doors, functionality goes hand in hand with aesthetics and modern technology. These partitions are not only warm, but also have an elegant design and can be part of a safe, intelligent home.
